This is a static journal. It collects as little as a website can.

What this site collects
Nothing, unless you subscribe. There are no accounts, no comment forms, no cookies set by this site, and no analytics or tracking scripts. The search box runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing anywhere.
Email subscription
If you type your address into the subscribe form, that address is sent to Buttondown, which holds the list and sends the mail. You get one email when a new entry is published. Nothing else. Every email has an unsubscribe link. We do not sell the list. Buttondown's handling of that address is under their privacy policy.
Hosting
The site is served by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel's infrastructure processes standard request data (your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested) to deliver the pages and keep the service secure. That processing is governed by Vercel's privacy policy. This journal does not receive or store that data.
Outbound links and syndication
Entries link out to other sites, and cuts of each entry are shared to LinkedIn. Once you follow a link to those platforms, their privacy policies apply, not this one. Reading by RSS shares nothing with this site beyond the fetch your reader makes.
Changes
If the site starts collecting something new, this page will say so before it happens, with a new effective date at the top.
